Our Ceremony in Edensor

Saturday 13th June 2026

Getting There

St Peter’s Church

Our legal ceremony will take place at St Peter’s Church, Edensor, a small village church set within the Chatsworth Estate.

Edensor is located just outside Bakewell, in the heart of the Peak District. The village is easily accessible and well signposted from the surrounding area.

Directions to the church can be found here:
St Peter’s Church, 1 Jap Lane, Edensor, DE45 1PH

By car

Parking in Edensor village is very limited, but plenty of additional parking is available on the Chatsworth Estate, with a short walk to the church (15 minutes). We recommend allowing a little extra time for parking and arrival, particularly on a summer weekend!

By public transport

Edensor is served by the 218 bus route, which runs between Sheffield and Bakewell, stopping at Chatsworth and Edensor along the way. The bus stops just outside the church.

The 218 runs regularly throughout the day and is a convenient option for guests travelling from Sheffield, Bakewell, or nearby villages. Journey times vary depending on where you join the route, so we recommend checking the timetable in advance and allowing a little extra time on the day!

You can view the full timetable here:
218 Sheffield – Bakewell bus timetable

For return journeys, please note that services become less frequent in the early evening. If you’re planning to stay on later, we recommend checking final bus times in advance or arranging a taxi.

Thornbridge Brewery Taproom

After the ceremony, we’ll be heading to Thornbridge Brewery Taproom in Bakewell for drinks and a celebratory toast.

Guests will need to make their own way there, and the journey from Edensor to Bakewell takes approximately 10 minutes by car, or a short bus or taxi ride.

Directions to the taproom can be found here:
Thornbridge Brewery Taproom, Riverside Brewery, Bakewell, DE45 1GS

By car

The journey from Edensor to the taproom takes approximately 10 minutes by car. Plenty of free parking is available on site at Thornbridge, as well as additional parking nearby in Bakewell if required (just remember to pop your car registration in the taproom iPad when you arrive)!

By public transport

Guests travelling by bus can continue to use the 218 route, which runs between Sheffield and Bakewell, stopping in Bakewell itself. It’s approximately a 30 minute journey, including a 10 minute walk from the bus stop, for those wanting to enjoy a tipple (or two)!

As services become less frequent later in the afternoon and early evening, we recommend checking return times in advance or planning alternative transport if you intend to stay on.
